Unit Converter
Convert length, weight and temperature
About This Tool
A recipe calls for ounces but your scale shows grams. A spec sheet lists dimensions in inches but you think in centimeters. The weather is in Fahrenheit and you want Celsius. Unit conversion comes up constantly — this tool covers length, weight, and temperature with a simple input-and-swap interface. No formulas to look up.
Features
- ✓Length, weight, and temperature — Three categories in separate tabs. Clean interface — only the units you need, without clutter.

- ✓Scientific notation when needed — Very large or very small results switch to scientific notation automatically (e.g. 1.5e-6) rather than showing a wall of zeros.
FAQ
- How do I convert between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin?
- Celsius to Fahrenheit: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. Fahrenheit to Celsius: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9. Celsius to Kelvin: K = °C + 273.15. Kelvin has no negative values — 0 K is absolute zero (about −273.15°C), used in scientific work.
- How many centimeters is 1 inch?
- Exactly 2.54 cm — that's the internationally defined value, not an approximation. So 1 foot = 30.48 cm, and 1 mile ≈ 1.60934 km.
- How many grams is 1 pound?
- 1 pound (lb) = 453.592 grams. 1 ounce (oz) = 28.35 grams. These are avoirdupois units — the everyday standard, not the troy system used for gold and gems.
- Why is the result showing in scientific notation?
- When a number is very large (above a million) or very small (below a ten-thousandth), scientific notation is just cleaner. 1.5e-6 is easier to read than 0.0000015.
